Method
- Insert lollipop sticks into the core of each apple at the stem.
- Place chopped peanuts, M&M’s, or other toppings in small bowls.
- Melt chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second bursts and stirring in between until smooth.
- Dip apples into melted chocolate, twirling to coat evenly.
- Roll dipped apples in peanuts or M&M’s, or press toppings directly onto chocolate.
- Place apples on wax or parchment paper and let set until firm, or refrigerate to speed up the process.
Notes
- Granny Smith apples are best for their tart-sweet contrast.
- Swap toppings for sprinkles, pretzels, or mini chocolate chips.
- Work quickly, as chocolate sets fast.
- Best enjoyed the same day, but can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
